Yorkshire-based fashion retailer, Damart, has teamed up with six women from a local breast
cancer support group to model its charity pink vest to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now.
This latest campaign was launched to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a national
initiative in October to raise awareness of the disease.
The six volunteers are members of Life After Breast Cancer Support, a Doncaster-based
breast cancer support group for women who have experienced breast cancer. Life After
Breast Cancer Support was founded to provide support and friendship to women who have
been diagnosed with breast cancer, encouraging an outgoing and positive lifestyle after
breast cancer diagnosis.
Teaming up with Damart to increase awareness and help raise fund for Breast Cancer Now,
the six women modelled Damart’s limited-edition pink vest and have been featured in
thousands of Damart catalogues across the country. Profits from the sale of the pink vest
will go to Breast Cancer Now to help fund vital research.
Damart’s Head of Ecommerce, Ben Phillips, said: “It has been an honour to invite the six
volunteers from Life After Breast Cancer Support to model this year’s limited-edition pink
vest. It is important to hear the positivity and bravery of these local women, as it
encourages others – both in our local community and nationwide – to live a happy and
positive life after breast cancer diagnosis.”

priced from £17 and the short-sleeved t-shirt design priced at £19. A £4 donation will be
made to Breast Cancer Now from the sale of each item, contributing to the charity’s mission
to stop women dying from breast cancer by 2050.
Damart has raised more than £200,000 for the charity over the past decade through sales of
its pink vest.
