Yorkshire-based home shopping company, Damart, is celebrating 10 years of fundraising for Heart Research UK with a series of product-led initiatives including a ‘Happy Healthy Heart Cookbook’ to raise proceeds for the charity.
Until the 31st August, Damart’s cookbook is available to purchase on their website, along with a pedometer, fitness top and leggings, peddle exerciser and walking trainers. For every purchase of these products, Damart will donate £5 to Heart Research UK. In line with the charity’s efforts to promote healthy hearts across the UK, Damart’s fundraising products were selected to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
Over the past 10 years, Damart has raised £55,000 for Heart Research UK through a combination of both product-led initiatives and internal fundraising events involving Damart colleagues. To celebrate their 10th year of fundraising, Damart will be hosting a 10-day internal fundraising event later this month.
Claire Brown, Online Merchandising Manager at Damart, said: “We are proud of the amount of money we have raised over the past ten years for Heart Research UK. We’re excited to have launched these products this year to raise more money for the charity and to also raise awareness of the importance of having a healthy lifestyle and a healthy heart.”
Marie Peacock, Head of Income Generation at Heart Research UK, added: “We are so thankful for everyone’s efforts at Damart over the past 10 years to fundraise for our charity. The £55,000 raised by Damart has been a huge contribution over the past decade to help fund pioneering medical research and ground-breaking training and education.”
