Damart, the Bingley-based fashion retailer, is marking National Customer Service Week (7th – 12th October) with a six-day event for colleagues to promote the business’ focus on its customers.
The business, which employs 650 people and has approximately 2 million customers in the UK, will invite customers to take a tour of its site in Bingley, where they will be shown Damart’s Customer Service Centre which handles thousands of calls from customers each week.
Internal celebrations will also see special awards given to ‘Customer Service Superheroes’ – colleagues who have excelled within Damart’s customer care teams. There will also be quizzes held for colleagues, rewarding those with expert knowledge of Damart and its customers.
As a business, Damart will also be shining a light on their in-house apprenticeships which cover many disciplines including customer service, as well as demonstrating new technologies in customer service innovation that Damart is about to deploy for the benefit of all of its customers.
Jeanette Askin, Head of Customer Service said: “As a business, we are passionate about our customers and how we can best serve them. Over the past 6 years, we have worked in partnership with the Institute of Customer Service receiving the institute’s World Class ‘ServiceMark’ accreditation and working on how we keep on improving. Taking part in National Customer Service Week 2019 is a great way for us to engage with our colleagues and customers to communicate how we can keep on getting better for them.”
