I’m Christie, and I’ve been the Copywriter at Damart for just over 10 years now. It’s my job to talk to the customers through our promotions and show them all the great offers and gorgeous styles we have, to tempt them to place an order. When you don’t have a shop window for your customer to look in, it’s really important to get your brand across to them through marketing (letters, leaflets and emails) with the right tone of voice and this is where I come in. I’ve always had a passion for the written word, so after completing my Masters in Advertising and Marketing, then working both agency and client side, I decided to hone in on the writing side of things, joining Damart as a Direct Marketing Copywriter. It’s such a unique brand and over the last year it’s modernising and changing so much and that’s been pretty exciting. However the main reason I enjoy being here is that I love working with such a friendly team. When not sat at my laptop, I love being out and about on walks or travelling to new places. With a 1 and a 4 year old, I don’t get much time to unwind but if I do, I’ll pick yoga, a book or a gripping box set.
