Commercial Planning Manager

Job Overview:

The Commercial Planning Manager sits within the centre of the commercial function and plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of the commercial plans. Directly involved in creating, maintaining and managing the budget and forecasts, the Commercial Planning Manager will work closely with the wider finance, marketing and trading teams to ensure plans are fully evaluated and costed before approval.

Key Responsibilities:

 Take ownership for the management of detailed commercial plans and report against agreed targets

 Work cross functionally with the wider business to collate, report and challenge commercial costs

 Take a lead role in the planning and improvement of the budget process

 Actively engage with key stakeholders to flag opportunities and risks when approving commercial plans

 Use and build commercial models to support forecasting and profiling of commercial activit

 Undertake analysis, provide reports and conduct research as required to support ad hoc and regular requirements of the business, resulting in better long term planning

Skills and Experience:

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) with proven experience of working in a commercial role, able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and awareness combined with an analytical and numerical approach.

You will have confidence to communicate in a clear and concise manner, at all business levels.

A team player, capable of building and maintaining open and honest relationships.

Tenacity, a passion to deliver results, excellent planning and organising, attention to detail and problem solving skills are key to the success of this role.

Advanced Excel ability is essential.
