Job Overview:
A great opportunity has arisen within Logistics Planning, working as part of a small team but having a big impact! Effectively managing resource allocation to ensure the smooth running and performance of the Logistics operation: optimisation, efficiency and productivity are key words in this role.
Utilising your experience of supporting performance and budget management, you’ll work with the management team and report on productivity data, forecasting demand schedules as well as highlighting opportunities where improvements can be made.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist the Management Team with the collation and reporting of process / technology /productivity data, whilst maintaining the accuracy of operational & commercially valuable management information.
*Advise on staffing levels to meet workflow and operational performance targets, anticipating future demand through analysis of past performance.
*Provide analysis on productivity figures and identify opportunities to support the Logistics distribution budgeting process.
*Build effective working relationships within the department and wider supply chain: ensure information is shared, issues are highlighted, and plans / requirements are understood and anticipated.
*Work on defined projects to deliver short and mid term company objectives and ensure that all budgetary targets are met.
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience of working within a complex planning environment (preferably using planning systems), and ideally within an integrated supply chain environment
Excellent planning and organisation skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop good working relationships, with both internal and external customers at all levels.
