Are you an aspiring HR professional looking for a great, exciting opportunity to join a strong HR People Team? We are looking for a flexible self-starter, able to work independently and pick up information quickly.

We are looking for a People Advisor will work closely with the People Team to deliver day to day HR activities. The ideal candidate will work across the HR functions by taking ownership of Recruitment, Employee Relations cases, Learning and Development and work on a variety of projects with the business i.e. GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), Leaderships & Culture, Leading Change etc.

This is a true ‘generalist’ role and the day to day will include anything from;

•Managing recruitment – campaigns, on-line recruitment, screening applicants, coordination and interviews.

•Advising managers on Employee Relations issues.

•Preparing contracts and ensuring personnel files are up-to-date and contain the required documentation.

•Supporting managers with the planning and organisation of ER hearings, meetings and admin.

•Coaching managers to support colleagues and deliver best practice.

•Delivery of ER Workshops to the business.

•Ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.

•Ensuring relevant databases are kept up to date and KPI’s are met.

•Supporting the People Team with generalist HR duties, administration, reports and ad-hoc project work.

Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate will have prior experience in a Generalist HR role with exposure to handling and managing Recruitment, ER cases and change.

CIPD qualification is desirable, but not essential if you can demonstrate clear, up to date understanding of HR knowledge and legal considerations affecting employment and business.

Excellent time management and personal organisational skills are essential for managing the various workloads and excellent attention to detail is expected. The ability to confidently communicate with various people across the business is essential.

You should be proficient in using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills. Experience using E-Learn systems would be advantageous but not essential.
