Bradford cancer support group, Bosom Friends were guests of honour at the unveiling of Damart’s brand-new reception.
Prior to the 12-week refurbishment at the company’s Bingley head office the reception had been the same for the past 30 years aside from a touch of paint.
Bosom Friends who modelled Damart’s fund-raising Pink Vest for the past two years attended the reception opening day to cut the ribbon along with Damart’s CEO, Patrick Seghin. The Pink Vest is sold to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.
Fiona Mannion, Managing Director at Damart said: “We are so excited to finally unveil our new reception, it’s a fantastic space that we hope will lift the spirits of our colleagues and external visitors. Modernising Damart is a priority focus for our business, and this refurbishment is a sign of things to come.
“We were delighted that the ladies from Bosom Friends could join us, especially as several of them have modelled our fund-raising ‘pink vest’ in our catalogues and a group photo of them wearing it now takes pride of place in our new reception.”
The construction saw the help of many internal and external participants, including the Damart Project Management, Darren Mullaney, Dougie Farmer and Keith Hamilton. The external businesses who took part in the construction include: Peter Wade Consultancy Ltd, Coulters Office Interiors, JSR, Dawsons, Excell Flooring, Church Lane Building Services, Dean Poxon, Steve Wilbur and Steve Smith.
