Bingley-based home shopping giant, Damart, has announced sponsorship plans for a series of sports clubs as part of its continued support in the local community.
The retailer has allocated almost £3K for the sponsorship of Bingley Congs Cricket Club, Brighouse Sports Bowls Tournament and Steeton FC.
Damart has been sponsoring the Brighouse Sports Bowls Tournament for four years now. The tournament runs for eight weeks during the summer and attracts up to 128 top bowlers from across the North – all hoping to make it to the grand final which takes place on Saturday 21st August.
The sponsorship of Bingley Congs Cricket Club will see a board displayed at the club’s ground on Beckfoot Lane for one year to promote and support the club. Damart will also be sponsoring the polo shirts of local football club, Steeton FC.
Damart’s online merchandise manager, Claire Brown said: “As well as supporting our charity partners, we feel it is really important to be able to give something back to the local clubs who are making a difference in our community. We are thrilled to be able to show our continued support for the Brighouse Sports Bowls Tournament, as well as honour sponsorships for Bingley Congs Cricket Club and Steeton FC.”
