I have worked at Damart for over 10 years and it really had been an education! After 22 years in London working for fast fashion retail brands my family moved to beautiful Yorkshire to enjoy the outdoors and be nearer family. I have learnt so much in the last few years about how a mail order company works. As online sales increase I have been able to use all that experience from my London days as well as what i have learnt in my time here . I have really made the most of enjoying what Yorkshire has to offer. My family enjoy outdoor sports such as running and cycling as well as the amazing walks on offer from your front door. As Director of Merchandising and Trading you need to have a feel for product as well as understanding of what the customer needs, market trends whilst keeping up to date with our customers lives and translate this to budgets and strategies. I work with all departments across the business to ensure we deliver an experience that our customer loves and expects. It is a great role that I thoroughly enjoy. No 2 days are the same. As customer needs, and markets factors change all the time, you also need to be adaptable. I like that part the best!
