I have worked at Damart for four years, after building a 15-year career in the retail industry as a Stock Control Manager.
I enjoy spending my free time with my family, spending most weekends at my son’s football or swimming lessons – if you don’t find me there, I’m normally busy at home with DIY projects.
As the Inbound Manager it is my job to monitor stock intake into our warehouse, ensuring we have sufficient goods to fulfil customer orders. I work closely with our sourcing, purchasing and import department in France, to build strong relationships with our suppliers around the world. Here in the UK, I work with our product and merchandising departments to understand customer needs, building strategies to support these, as well as monitoring latest budgets to improve service.
The one thing I love about my role is that I get the opportunity to forge relationships on a global scale, building connections with individuals from different cultures and lifestyles to my own. I am also able to see the impact of our departmental success on the business – maximising customer satisfaction and seeing the departments come together to build excellent business strategies.
Since working at Damart I have come to know a fantastic group of people who all have varied skill sets and interests. These individuals provide great support and guidance, which have helped me to learn and develop in my role.
It is my hope that by continuing to maintain strong global relationships with suppliers and our team in France, that Damart continues to succeed and flourish.
