To support your development, the successful applicant will be enrolled onto an IT Solutions Technician level 3 apprenticeship course; so not only will you gain real life experience working within an experienced IS team, you will also learn the principles, techniques and technologies to strengthen your overall knowledge and understanding.
This is a customer facing role providing 1st line technical IT support to internal colleagues across both sites so we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, who can communicate effectively. You will have a strong desire and drive to learn as well as being a great team player who enjoys sharing their knowledge. A logical thinker who likes to solve problems will be a great fit for this role.
This role aims to resolve printing, network and service issues, whilst helping with hardware breakages. With support and training, some of your key responsibilities will include:
Helping colleagues reset their passwords
Answering help desk calls, raising requests and resolving incidents
Giving general advice and empowering colleagues
Problem diagnosis and fault resolution
Escalating requests and liaising with local and international IT teams
Identify ways to improve IS services
Contribute to projects
Look after equipment and manage stock levels
Work closely with our French based Techcare team
You will be based onsite in Bingley, but you may be required to travel to Steeton (via pool car or public transport).
