Warehouse Assistant - Fixed Term

Job Overview:
We are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated individual to be part of our small team working in our Bradley Mill Warehouse. Damart operates a monthly sale for staff and customers to purchase Damart products at a discounted price. You will be responsible for ensuring Bradley Mill clothing and footwear stocks are stored neatly, unpacked, hung and stamped as required and displayed attractively on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:

Tidy the shop floor after the sale weekend, sort clothing rails and footwear tables removing any dirty or damaged items.

Replenish all areas of clothing and footwear on the shop floor with good stock, presented well ready for the next monthly sale.

Keep the warehouse in a clean and organised and re-fill the backup stock area.

Working closely with colleagues to ensure the best offers are in place for the sale.

Protect and maintain company property (including stock, equipment and premises) within Health & Safety guidelines keeping the warehouse area clean and safe.

Suggest any areas of improvement to daily processes and ideas that might increase productivity and sales.

Skills and Experience:
Some awareness of retail or sales and an interest in clothing and fashion is beneficial.
You should have strong communication skills and be comfortable liaising with colleagues across the business at all levels. The Bradley Mill is part of Damart’s UK Head Office, it is a professional and corporate area and therefore professional behaviour, and conduct is expected at all times.

You should have a good awareness of general health & safety procedures; the role will involve working at height using ladders and the operation of pallet trucks, possibly forklift trucks (FLT license is desirable though not essential ).

The role is physically demanding, including frequent lifting and handling of stock in a fast-paced environment.

Driving is an essential part of this role; therefore, a full, clean driving licence is required.
